TYPICAL EXTERIOR CLADDING INSTALLATION

The uses for StoneSheets^®-AL continues to expand the use of solid stone, with more industries taking advantage of the lightweight and superior strength of our thin stone solutions. For exterior cladding applications, StoneSheets^®-AL panels are an easy solution or addition to curtainwall and rainscreen applications. The aerospace aluminum honeycomb core in repairing and remodeling of older cladding, are a confident and easy to install resource for high performance envelope repairs. StoneSheets^®-AL panels are prepared to receive any type of anchor attachment, or the reliable solid aluminum sheet backing provides a confident field installation surface. the back of the panel to coordinate with some of the largest manufacturers in the world, so that the addition of stone into your designs is seamless.

QUICK 5 STEP INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1: Attach the sections or continuous J-Channel, level and plumb, to the building whether CMU or Steel Studs. Custom bent channel is available for arcs and curves, depending on the installation parameters of the project.

STEP 2: Attach the Clips to the panels. Providing a soft surface and mat area to prepare the panels is beneficial to preventing damage to the edges. The panels are light enough, you should not "roll" them on their edges, but a quick prep area can prevent this for field conditions.

STEP 3: Insert Panel with attached clips in J-Channel. Be sure not to allow the light weight to be taken advantage of and abandon the panel in the J-Channel during Installation. The next step is fundamental in securing the panel.

STEP 4: Insert Panel Lock in the top clip, attached to the back of the panel.

STEP 5: For most systems, there are predrilled holes in the J-Channel to indicate where to line up the panel lock.

STEP 6: Panel ready for adjustment and to receive the panel above. You can also wait and line up a whole row.

FINISHED: StoneSheets-AL Panel Installed.
