6mm Stone Slab + 19mm Aluminum Honeycomb
StoneSheets®-AL panels feature thin, whole slabs of stone 6mm thick, bonded to an aluminum honeycomb core borrowed from the aerospace industry for the light weight, and high stiffness-density ratio. The lightweight core of StoneSheets®-AL is sandwiched between two durable aluminum sheets, 12mm or 19 mm standard thicknesses, and providing thestone slabs consistent, reinforced support from edge to edge. Both of our standard thin stone & honeycomb panels, erving as a built in
substrate that easily anchors or attaches inthe field. Panels are cut to the desired size, and the edges are finished in a variety of ways including solid stone, which conceals any revealed honeycomb profiles in designs, or other bonded and custom choices are available.
StoneSheets®-AL weighs about 160 pounds for a full sized standard panel, which is any size up to 48" x 96" (122 cm x 244 cm). For special requirements, there are some stones available in custom sizes up to 60" x 100". Whatever the size, the light weight and high performance of the aluminum honeycomb core and StoneSheets®-AL, provides strength significantly superior to 2cm or 3cm slabs under bending, torsion, impact and compression, both parallel and perpendicular to the slabs. This resiliant material combines the beauty of solid stone slabs with aerospace performance, and is changing the way stone is used and transforms heavy stone into integrated, easily installed, durable products that save time, resources, and money.
StoneSheets®-AL is available in nearly every Granite, Marble, Onyx, Travertine, Sandstone, Limestone, or Quartzite, in any finish the stone allows, and the Aluminum Honeycomb panel thickness can be adjusted from 8mm - 40mm + thick to serve a variety of applications. We custom cut the material to your size and manufacture to your specifications, for components for OEM Manufacturers, architects and construction projects, and contractors around the world.
